DoctorOS BD is committed to protecting the privacy of registered physicians and the confidentiality of patient health information. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Information We Collect
- We collect information you provide directly: name, BMDC registration number, contact details, and professional credentials when you register for DoctorOS BD.
- We collect patient data you enter into the platform — including names, contact information, medical history, prescriptions, and visit records — solely to provide the service to you.
- We automatically collect technical data such as IP addresses, browser type, device information, and usage logs to maintain platform security and performance.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the DoctorOS BD clinical management platform.
- To verify your BMDC registration and maintain compliance with Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council regulations.
- To send service-critical notifications such as subscription reminders, security alerts, and platform updates.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or your patients' data to any third party.
3. Patient Data & Confidentiality
- Patient health records entered into DoctorOS BD are treated as strictly confidential medical information.
- Data is stored in encrypted form and is accessible only by the registered doctor who created the records.
- DoctorOS BD employees do not access patient records except when expressly required to resolve a support ticket you raise, and only with your consent.
- Patient data is stored within secure cloud infrastructure and is not transferred outside of Bangladesh's legal jurisdiction without explicit consent.
4. Data Security
- We use industry-standard TLS encryption for all data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest.
- Access to the platform requires authentication via secure JWT tokens with limited session lifetimes.
- We perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of our infrastructure.
- In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users within 72 hours in accordance with applicable law.
5. Data Retention
- Your account data is retained for as long as your account remains active.
- Upon account deletion, your login access and personal profile data are removed immediately.
- Patient records, prescriptions, and visits are retained after account deletion to comply with legal data-retention requirements.
- You may request deletion of your account at any time from your account settings.
6. Your Rights
- You have the right to access or correct your personal data at any time from your account settings.
- You may delete your account, which will remove your login access and profile from our systems.
- You may withdraw consent for non-essential communications at any time.
